This post is not about music. This post is the first of monthly 30-day reports regarding the activities and traffic statistics for the music website 2007topsongs.com.

The domain 2007topsongs.com was created on 03-Feb-07, during a Saturday morning breakfast in Los Angeles, California. The site was built with Wordpress and it became active by one o’clock in the afternoon on February 3, 2007.

February Statistics 2007 Top Songs The chart seen here is a screenshot from the websites Google analytics account. The date range is 2/3/2007 - 3/3/2007 with the first date being the day the site was created.

The graph shows some interesting results. As you can see on the chart to the left, there was little traffic for the first week of this sites life online. After a spider came to visit, traffic began to increase from search engine referrals. Throughout the month, more spiders visited, and traffic continued to increase. On Saturday, February 3, there were 8 visits, according to analytics. Nearly all of those visits probably came from the developers of the site. On Saturday, March 3, 349 visits were reported (30 days later).

According to the report, there were total of 4606 visits made to the web site over the 30 day period. There were 11,680 page views reported to analytics.

Looking at the Geo Map Overlay (the graph with the world map) you can see that the great majority of traffic is coming from the United States. There is some activity noted in Australia, with little activity appearing elsewhere in the world.

The top 40 cities of the world appearing in the order of most traffic to least traffic were Los Angeles, Venice, Toronto, Houston, Montreal, Ottawa, Brisbane, New York, Chicago, Miami, Calgary, Saint Louis, Dallas, Philadelphia, Winnipeg, Edmonton, Adelaide, Pittsburgh, Atlanta, Perth, Portland, Sydney, Las Vegas, Cincinnati, Melbourne, Brooklyn, Cleveland, San Diego, Auckland, Columbus, Kansas City, Louisville, Makati, Manila, London, Vancouver, London, Halifax, Seattle, and Buffalo.

Google was the number one reported search engine driving traffic, with America Online (AOL) coming in at number two. Direct navigation was the third most popular reported method of getting to the web site.

Thank you to everyone that’s been visiting the web site. We plan to add more top song related content, better features, and some useful tools, so that your visits to the web site will be worthwhile.
